Head of the Association of Reproducologists, Professor Archil Khomasuridze

Every conference in reproductive medicine is important and useful if it has an educational focus. This conference, in which I am also participating, is exactly of this nature. It is also interesting that at the beginning of the covid pandemic, the last such high-level conference was held by the GGRC clinic in reproductive medicine, and even now, when the pandemic is over, this clinic is holding such a high-level conference in our country. As we mentioned, the conference has clinical and educational significance, where Georgian doctors , residents and students are admitted without any financial cost. This field is relatively young among other fields of medicine and requires constant development. Moreover, recently reproduction has become a very popular direction in our country. Here, I must tell you that Georgia is the only country in the world where reproductive medicine is an independent medical discipline. I personally fought for it for 27 years, and in 2020 the state recognized this field as an independent field from gynecology. This conference is proof of the level at which this field is developed in Georgia today and how modestly the world luminaries of the field treat it.
